Portrait

The creator, Jois James, inherited a family home near a lake in Sweden in 2013. He discovered an old porcelain object there, surmounted by a silver lid. A knowledgeable friend tells her about their origin: in the 19th century, the English royal family, lovers of eggs, tasted them in this
container called Egg coddler. Wanting to acquire more, Jois James only finds antiques at very high prices. Designer and graphic designer, he decided to create his own model, with Scandinavian curves, refined, practical, machine washable, and launched Aggcoddler. Jois James now lives in the South of France.

This year Jois James meets Léa Tardito, ceramist, at a local pottery market. Jois is impressed by his magnificent creations. Having long wanted to get back to artistic pottery, Jois enrolled in Léa's classes in her studio in Vidauban. They immediately liked each other and together launched this collaboration, the first artisanal collection of AGGCODDLER.
