silvy garat

Originally from Provence, Silvy Garat Diaz grew up in a village called Cadenet, located in the Luberon. Region where colors and light have inspired many painters.

She took drawing lessons on live models at the Beaux Arts in Aix en Provence in the 1990s, alongside her studies. She then discovered a taste for art, a real revelation!

She will work for several years in the world of fashion and luxury ready-to-wear, but will always remain in the artistic and creative world. An essential need for expression, search for light, and mastery of new materials.

In his paintings, Silvy develops a personal technique that gives relief, strength, with different textures including mortar, modeling paste and especially Carrara marble powder from Michelangelo's famous quarries. All dressed in 24-carat gold leaf that gives his painting light, golden sparkles, highlighting the contours and shapes of his expression.
