Montpellier maple is a typical country wood from the Causses du Quercy Natural Park.
Very hard and dense, tight grain and velvety touch, it resembles its cousin sycamore maple, which makes it an ideal wood for an ultra-resistant cutting board.
This one had fallen into a property in Bastit (46500), it was cut into a board in May 2020, and after 2 years of drying, it can finally be worked.

Board made of solid wood in one piece, without gluing. Organic oil finish.
